The importance of laminating carton products should not be underestimated.  Using a faulty machine, or a poor quality machine, will result in bubbles forming between the film and the paper. When this occurs, as many as 25% of laminated products can be rejected after quality assessment. Semi-automatic laminators require a lot of manpower to operate. One skilled technician to feed the paper into the machine, at least one worker to check the production line, one to collect the finished products and so on. These laminators, compared to their fully-automated counterparts, run slowly - which slows down the production rate.

The fully automated high speed laminator produced by Shunjingyuan Printing Machinery solves these problems. The impression roller’s temperature is well distributed and there is a less than a 1.5℃ differential. This significantly reduces the rejection rate compared to regular laminators.  The fully automated high speed laminator only needs one worker, with any level of skill, to operate it. Additionally, the automated laminator can reach a film laminating speed of up to 60m per minute, which is much faster than manually operated laminators. All of these features translate to cost-cutting and better bottom lines for folding carton manufacturers.

RHW-ZF105 Fully Automatic High Speed Multi-Purpose Film Laminating Machine

This new high speed laminating machine is to replace old machines in printing houses. The machine can be used with water-based glue, solvent-based glue and even pre-coated film.  It uses the most up-to-date laminating technology. Biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film is applied to water-based glue (or solvent-based glue) before being put through a special drying chamber and large diameter drying roller.  At the same time, paper is transported from the automatic feeder to the powder-removing section, where the dust on the sheet can be cleaned, then transported to laminating section.   

Through heat and pressure, the film adheres firmly to the paper. The laminated sheets can be rewound onto the roller, or sorted into piles, and then placed in storage.

The fully automated laminator represents new advances in environmentally friendly equipment.   The amount of xylene and dust it emits is nominal.

  •  Product Characteristics

This machine is composed of an automatic feeder, a cleaner, a gluing section, a drying chamber, a laminating section, a slitting section and an automatic stacker. It works with water-based glue, solvent-based glue and pre-coated film. Shunjingyuan Printing Machinery developed this machine from single-function to multi-purpose through modern industrial, person-to-machine engineering design to bring mechanical, electrical and pneumatic elements together.

  • Function Explain

1. Fully automatic feeder is adopted for paper transportation. Pre-stack feeding table and non-stop device are installed. Supply sheets in time while the machine is till running. So enhance the efficiency of this machine fully, reduce labor cost, increase rate of qualified products and improve benefit.

2. Electric heating/brush are both used for powder removing, which can remove the powder on printed paper.

3. Big-diameter impression roller, its diameter is up to 800mm, heat-circulating system, temperature controller are set inside. The temperature on impression roller is well distributed, temperature difference should be less than ±1.5℃.

4. Glue is controlled by the gap between ceramics roller attached with blade and gluing roller to keep glue uniform. Film and glue are pneumatically controlled.

5. Vertical short-distant drying chamber is designed for film running stably, special drying system and automatic temperature control system can make glue dry fast.

6. Impression roller is automatically controlled by electric-control piston.

7. Rotary knife for cutting can be micro adjusted and easily controlled, and sheeted by wheel.

8. In the delivery, pneumatic jogger is used. The stacker is automatically adjusted by photoelectric sensor, vacuum suction belts are used at feeding table to keep sheets straight when high-speed running.

9. The whole machine is controlled by OMRON PLC, the speed for each section matching with main section is controlled by OMRON inverter. The speed for each section can be automatically increased or decreased. Advanced 8.4 inch colorful screen human-machine interface is adopted, and main electrical components adopt Schneider products.

10. Original imported bearings are adopted to ensure the machine runs stably for long time.
