Hi There

I am currently putting together a Photography book for a current project I am working on. I am quite particular on the paper I wish to use, but wondering if anyone could give me some help on which is best to use.

I am planning on making my book by hand, and print on the paper using ink jet. I want to use a paper that is not glossy, but relatively rough in texture. Im not sure on how heavy the paper should be. The book will only require 10-12 pages so I would have thought it would need to be fairly heavy.

I dont really know where to start on hunting for a paper stock. Could anyone recommend a good paper stock that will display my images well? I know that many rough papers tend to soak up the ink and leave dull looking image.

Thanks in Advance

Aidan

With 250gsm through a home inkjet you may have some problems. Also, as you suggest, depending on the amount of texture the stock has you may experience the ink bleeding within your photos.

I suggest thet you use begin by visiting somewhere like Staples and pick up some uncoated inkjet stock. Alternatively you could have the pages printed as flats at your local printers and make it up by hand yourself.

I hope this helps,
