Printing Forum: Successful quality binding

            I'm trying to find a printer to print 1000 books, approx 150gsm pages, 350gsm cover, 64 pages, full colour, A4, and having difficulties.  Some jobs i have had done the binding is aweful because the fold, (the fanny - the techical term?) is not flat.  Staples usually wrong place and sometimes badly trimmed.  Printing fantastic.
          
          
             
          
          
            How do you ensure successful saddle stiching and finish when ordering books at a reasoable  price?
          
          
             
          
          
            Shouldn't the binding be as good as the printing?
