Yes, this is normal. The amount of blood your heart mumps every minute-known as cardiac output-increases dramatically even just in the first trimester of pregnancy, well before most women start to 'show'. It is quite common to feel your heart beating, and even experience occasional extra beats. You shouldn't be concerned unless you have chest pain and/or feel faint or very breathless.
